DRINK THE RIVER – PIKSEL24

DRINK THE RIVER

DRINK THE RIVER offers a critical (playful) reimagination of the River Eden in Cumbria. Moving between the worlds of river and human body, porosity between these watery bodies is emphasised and the human-river-sewage cycle is explored as the player navigates these contested spaces. The game seeks to highlight the realities of sewage pollution into the river (the Eden is the 10th most polluted river in the UK), whilst offering a hopeful reimagination redrawing boundaries between ourselves and the leaky river that surrounds us.
